Sopanam is a Chenda team is a traditional Kerala percussion ensemble that performs Chenda Melam, a form of powerful, synchronized drumming centered around the chenda. The Chenda is an integral to Kerala's cultural and religious ceremonies, including temple festivals and classical dance performances. Sopanam was trained on traditional Chenda Melam by ‘Guru’ from Kerala , and performing for various festivals and functions across Melbourne . Some if the important performance are Indian Prime minister Modiji Sydney visit , Melbourne Diwali , Wyndham Diwali , Various temple events , Various cultural festivals like Diwali, Ganesh festival, Onam etc..
